Excellent selections John. One of the heaviest items is water at 2.2 lbs per liter so having a SteriPEN will let you travel with less water, assuming a ready supply of somewhat debris clear water available. The PEN weighs ounces compared with heavier pump filters and works in seconds versus minutes or hours for pumps and pills. I carry mine with me all the time now and have reduced my water load. Again, assuming traveling in an area with a water supply.
