    Mountaineering requires immense amount of determination and a willingness to keep moving forward in the face of adversity but it should not just be about reaching the summit at all cost. There’s a well-known, and incredibly important, bit of advice for climbers from American mountaineer Ed Viesturs.

    “Getting to the top is optional, but getting down is mandatory. A lot of people get focused on the summit and forget that.”
